Live in Wantagh, was looking for a change so we tried Shooters. Digital sign stating $ 9.00 pitchers of Coors Lt. DIDNT HAVE That Special. sign wrong.. OK.. $ 3.00 bottles of Coors Lt. NO not that price either. Sign not changed. HMMM... Well, the bottles are really aluminum bottles, not glass, so it tastes like can beer anyway. Beer is ICE COLD ! Perfect. Food was OK. Burger the hit of the night, big juicy, handmade. Other items, Crab cakes, Grouper sandwich, Zucchini sticks, so-so. Restaurant Depot type food. Service was SLOW. Had to track down waitress to get another round. Supposedly, new POS system installed and they are trying to get used to it. All in all, Ok, just OK. Oh yeah, bathroom needs soap. No soap in dispenser means NASTY in my book. I think the place needs a manager who is on top of things. A lot of disjointed running around by staff, like they had no guidance. Wont return. To bad, will stick with Wantagh Inn, or Corrys Ale House ....................

I can say only good thing about the place. Food taste great very very big portions (get the mahi mahi salad). Price very reasonable the service very friendly. I wish that we had this kind of place in our town! Great place to stop on the way to a concert in jones beach only 10 min. Away.

Okay, first the positive - the wings are excellent. Ask for them extra crispy with no sauce on them. Get the sauce on the side. Very, very good. The rest of our food (burger, pulled pork sliders and corn on the cob) was extremely greasy/buttery. Without the grease/butter, I would have given more stars. The place was busy, and it is really loud. There are a million flat screens on the walls (overkill), and music playing. Lots to look at and hear (good for kids?) Overall, mediocre bar food and atmosphere. I will go back, but only for the wings.

Awesome place to grab a drink or some quality food. The bartenders are friendly and the atmosphere is great. Plenty of TVs and great drink deals.

Went here last night with some friends. We enjoyed ourselves and the atmosphere but some things were a little off. The service was weak. We got there after a show with about 8 people, which i do not think is a huge number. The waiters seemed very confused and nervous at the fact that we wanted drinks and food at 10pm. Not really sure why. Every time we went to order something we felt like the waiter was trying to give us a reason to NOT order the drink. For instance 4 of us wanted frozen mixed drinks, and the waiter kept saying 'it is going to take a while we only have one blender'. He also seemed annoyed when taking our food order, acting like our order was too much or too complicated. I mean we all got burgers and fries that were either waffle fries with cheese or regular. It was not that complicated. He was weird the whole night and kept making comments that pissed us all off! I mean we were a very quiet table for 8 people. We were just having normal quiet conversation we were not even close to loud. He had no reason to be so pissy. On the other hand, the mix frozen drink called Lava was amazing!! Such a sweet girly mix of fruity tastes that was wonderful. Once of the best frozen drinks I ever had. Surprisingly my burger that I ordered was awesome, very juicy and cooked exactly the way I ordered. The fries were burnt and not really up to par. Good thing the burger was huge and awesome. I would come here for drinks again, and maybe food. Hopefully we get a nicer and more capable waiter next time.

Its a fun place. Staff was welcoming, wings were delicious. Coors light girls kept the beer flowing. Multiple TVs for football fun but be warned, its a Miami dolphins bar! The Miami fans heavily outnumbered my buddies wearing rival jerseys but nobody acted like fools and we all had a great time.

This place is okay for game days. Gets a bit crowded. Has plenty of TV's so you can watch the games. The service is not the best. One older lady always seems crabby and doesn't seem to move very quickly. Wings are good though!

Good service. Beers not badly priced, but no bargain. Burger overcooked and dry, almost tasteless. Made me really appreciate ketchup and salt. The fries were bland. The bar was missing the sign about the specials. The burger and two beverages cost 25 clams. I have had excellent food here. Not sure what happened.

Decided to take family out friday night. No lines. We sit down and waited 15 minutes for stale bread. Still no server. Family behind us on line has drinks and is getting order taken. We decide to leave and tell hostess, she looks at us befuddled and doesn't apologize other than utter that she will FIND our server. Thanks. Not the way to keep customers. Friendy's out of all places got our business that night.

Last night was the third time we've come here, so it's time for a review. Fairest way to do it would to break it out into categories, since it varies. Food: Fresh and delicious. They dropped the ball on the corn last night, but that has been the only hiccup. The veggie burger was fresh and delicious. Tasted homemade. The lobster roll was amazing. Didn't come on a typical New England roll, came on a round roll. And it was huge. I couldn't believe how much lobster was jammed into this thing. Just enough mayo and celery, not overly seasoned - if you see it as a special, give it a shot. Table service: Brutal. Finished the first round of drinks, 15 minutes later we ordered two rounds at the same time so we wouldn't have to wait again. I should have known we were in trouble when she said she would bring out the appetizers first. Isn't that how it works? She was really bad. Came by two minutes after she dropped off the four glasses of wine to see if we needed more. She disappeared after that until we finished our meals and wine. We ordered another round and asked for the check, which was the only thing that came quick. Also, when you clear a table and their is a shit ton of onion rings left, don't you ask if the customers want them? I mean we would have told her if we wanted them, but we're usually asked. Not going to make a stink about it because the pours were substantial, but it's worth mentioning we had 8 glasses of wine and we paid for 8 glasses of wine. Bar service: Last time here we sat at the bar, no issues. Cool dude, attentive, this is where we'll sit next time. Cost: Some Yelpers complain about it, but I got a lobster roll for $14 last night, that came with onion rings - no complaints here. I would have paid more and been fine with it. $6 for a heavy pour of wine? Also fine with that. $4 for corn on the cob, with a twist (Cajun, Parmesan, Buffalo - we had all three) - also, not a bad deal. More and more bars are stepping up their food game, and they are one of them. Atmosphere: Cool place. Thought it would be busier/louder on a Thursday night. It wasn't empty by any stretch, just thought it would be busier because of the football game. Plus they have a lot of TV's, vibe is cool (who doesn't like a tiki bar?) and the food is excellent. We'll be back, and you should give it a go. Grab a seat at the bar and don't limit your menu options because it's a bar - they do a great job with the food. Don't let all the careless typos on the web menu fool you, what they fail in spelling they made up for in deliciousness. Tempted to give it two stars because of last night's waitress but this place would be a very strong 4+ otherwise so I'll go with 3.

I just returned to Shooters a few nights ago and although I would love to give them 5 stars again, the nasty, bitter and down right rude server named Mo ruined that. Everything and everyone else is great, otherwise. I would highly suggest that Shooters rethink the employment of this individual because if I get her as my waitress again, I'm going somewhere else.

Stopped in last night for a few beers and a quick meal with my boyfriend... I ordered the lobster mac n cheese and was simply blown away!! The sauce was perfection, with the perfect balance of cheese and texture, and plenty of lobster was added, and not small pieces either! For the price or any price, this was by far the best lobster mac I've ever had! Couldn't believe I had it in a sports bar and not a fancy restaurant!! Actually thinking of going back today for another round :)

My wife and I stopped here for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. This is our second time here, the first was fine but this time was an awful experience. The food is not the problem, the stuffed mushrooms were delicious and so was her burger and my roast beef melt. But the service was THE WORST. Our waitress could not have been more disinterested in her job. She did not listen at all to our drink order and got it wrong. When it came time to take our order she was staring over our heads at the bar area which was occupied by some real loud and obnoxious folks..I am no angel but don't need to hear load cursing matches as I eat! She threw the plates at us and dropped the appetizer on the table while walking by.. Well suffice it to say..if they can't find people who want to work there close down! Get rid of the dead wood and the place is great!

An old friend and I meet up probably three times a year, and this past time went here first. The only reason I had heard of it was that it is where some guy who had committed a home invasion robbery, then fenced off shooting at the police after crashing on Sunrise highway hid for like four hours and finally was caught at. Anyway, this is not a lengthy review just a wings and atmosphere review so here you go. (used to be Adelade's if anyone remembers so you know where it is, its between Merrick Rd. and Sunrise Hgwy on the east side of Wantagh Ave.) We had a couple of beers and wings, which by the way were excellent. The atmosphere was just not my style though, it was nice, very clean, had to have two dozen nice TV's...but it was just BRIGHT...way too bright also. I felt like I was in a pool dressing room with the water reflecting off the ceiling or something. If i'd known it was a Tiki Bar before agreeing to meet i'd probably not gone, but it wasn't bad so no regrets...just not my style. If you like Tiki, you will probably like this place. I wouldn't deter anyone from stopping in here, just know what type of place i is and its not your average bar...which for some might be a welcome relief!

Food is Eh at best. Most of the TV's are in the sky. 50 inch TV's are too small from down on the ground while you are eating. If you woke up in this bar/eatery not knowing what year it was, you would guess you could be in the 60's except for the TV's. Don't think you will have a good sports feeling here. I"d rather be home right in front of my 50 inch and that is wrong !!!!

I been here a few times and the food was great and the stuff is great.

It's ok. The Tuesday day time bartender is the most obnoxious person ever

Performed an acoustic show there last weekend. The food was delicious- I always like to have an appetizer before my shows. My friends that came to the show from out of town also loved the food. Great bar and friendly crowd. Check this place out you will love the vibe and food. As a performer- i really enjoyed playing for this venue.

Checked this place out on the way home from Jones Beach. Definitely gets a local crowd so can't say patrons were all that friendly but bartender was nice. We asked for a Vodka Collins and the drink was just ok. What is with bartenders, can't they make a Vodka Collins? We only wanted an appetizer and the jalpeno poppers fit our craving but we were told that they ran out of them the night before?? This was the next day after 5p. Whatever. We ordered raw clams and they were fresh and the cocktail sauce was very good. Can't say much else other than if it was in our neighborhood we'd go back and give dinner a try.

So we went back to see what the new ownership did. Did not visit bar. We had a table for 2 and ordered a wrap each and a desert. Food still good, but 90 minutes for 2 courses on a deuce is unreasonable. Especially on a slow night (4 other tables of 4 or less). If you're out for a game to watch, go for it. If you want a simple sandwich, be prepared to wait longer than a 4 course dinner at a good restaurant.

I shouldn't be even wasting my time writing this review, but I feel that the public needs to be warned about this place! If you want to wait at least a half hour before the waitress comes over to take your order (the only time that she acknowledged us was when we first sat down -- after waiting quite a few minutes for someone to come and seat us!) and then wait another half hour or so for salad, then this is the place for you! But I do have to give credit where credit is due: the lobster salad was delicious, with its big chunks of lobster and seasonings. But it certainly wasn't worth waiting an hour for!! And here's the "kick" -- the place was not even crowded!!!

The waitress Mo is really awful. She really needs to go!!! So rude, not attentive. Very very nasty! Food is ok- good sandwiches and bar food. But honestly she ruins the experience every single time!

Pub / restaurant We had a decent time in here and it has become our pre-Jones beach concert watering hole. Generally good bartenders and decent food (we only hit the bar, so can only attest to the "bar" type foods), we usually have a good time in here while pre-gaming the concerts. Prices are average and the crowd at the bar goes from eclectic to local-yokel so you never know what you are going to get. I would consider it for dinner if in the area. Parking on the side and the street

Always wanted to check this place out but wasn't sure if it would be the kind of venue we want to eat dinner on a Friday night at. Boy were we wrong. This is a really great place to hang out on a Friday after work. They even had this guy playing live music who is incredible he had the crowd singing along with him. The food was delicious and the drinks were great. This will definitely be our new go to place on Friday nights.

I am at shooter,Thursday nite. Ordered a stoli martini. Boy oh boy it sucked!!! First of all the pour sucked. I said yo! Ya think you could fill my glass. She said no way the boss is in the Corner and we can't add more to your glass. So now I take a sip blah!!!! It was sooooo not stoli!! They gave me some crap vodka. They are deffenitly playin around with there alcohol . The foods great but if you want a drink you ain't gettin the real deal here
(4)Mike D.
Good times at Shooters can be had almost any time. the bartenders give it that Wantagh feel even though they're like the red headed step children of Wantagh. the kitchen closes a little too early for my liking(but I'm a late night person). The food here is above average bar-fare. The menu is very extensive and I have yet to try any of there Entrees but I can vouch for almost everything else on the menu. Burgers, wings, calamari are all top notch. But if you want a real under the radar menu item that you might not think twice about grab the Crab cake sliders. They're unreal. Beer selection is pretty good too with about 14 taps and they always have the metal bottle bud and bud lights that you get at the ball park. Good times, good food, get there
